Live oral & poster session guidelines
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NEWCAS 2021 has been moved to a fully virtual conference. We have opted for a format where each contribution will be presented in live during the original dates of the conference.
The conference will mainly consist of the following live sessions: plenaries, oral and poster sessions. Presentation of accepted papers will take place in live oral and poster sessions using Zoom (https://zoom.us/)
Oral Sessions:
The oral presentation (20 minutes) will consist of a live oral presentation (15 minutes & illustrated by a set of slides) and Q&A (5 minutes).
Poster Sessions
The poster presentation (15 minutes) will consist of a short live oral presentation (10 minutes & illustrated by a set of slides) and Q&A (5 minutes) – because of the virtual mode, the traditional poster A0 is replaced by the set of slides.
Few days before the conference start
The author (registered email in link with the accepted paper) will be contacted by one of the session chairs or the local organization committee, in order to receive a small resume of the speaker.
The day of your presentation at NEWCAS’21:
All speakers should access their session room (https://newcas2021.univ-tln.fr/virtual-access/) 15 minutes before the sessions start. They will check that they manage to share the presentation (set of slides) before the session start and that their microphone/video is working properly.
In order to have the corresponding paper (oral or poster) indexed in IEEE Explore one of the Author(s) must present their paper live in the allocated session, be available for discussion and answer questions. It is most important that the presenter (speaker) takes care about a stable and good quality internet connection.
We are looking forward to making NEWCAS 2021 a success within this virtual conference format. We thank all participants for their cooperation in this endeavor.
